Mission of the School Library Program
The mission of the Margetts Library program is to ensure that students and staff are life-long learners and effective users of ideas and information. The Library will:
- Provide access to materials and information in a variety of formats
- Provide instruction in using information and ideas as well as research strategies and skills
- Encourage and stimulate interest in reading
- Work with teachers and other educators to meet the learning needs of all studentsĀ

Library Goals
- To maintain a current collection of resources addressing curriculum and recreational reading needs of our student population
- To help instill a love of reading in each student
- To help students and staff become effective users of information
- To support the curriculum through resources and collaboration
Library Rules
- Always use low indoor voices.
- Always be respectful to others.
- Always raise your hand if you have something to share.
- Always be respectful of library books, computers, and other library property.
- Always walk in the Library.
- Always keep the Library neat and clean.
- Students may borrow one book at a time. If you do not finish your book, you may renew it. When you return your book, you may borrow another one.
- Students are responsible for the books they borrow. If a book is lost or damaged, the book must be paid for.
- The Library is an extension of the classroom. Please rememberĀ all classroom behavior rules.
